BYD in Slovakia – a launch we have been behind from the beginning.

⚡🚘 BYD is biggest Chinese manufacturer of electric cars and one of the fastest growing automotive brands in the world. When entering the Slovak market, it faced the classic problem of a newcomer — no one knew it and trust in electromobility as such was still low. The goal was to launch brand communication, inform the mass group about the advantages and technologies of BYD and pave the way for real sales even before the opening of the flagship store.

💡 The campaign relied on a combination of online and offline with significant PR support through native articles. The key decision was to test multiple headlines and photos — the winning headline "These are the Chinese electric cars that can shake up Slovakia" achieved an above-average click-through rate of 5.32%. The photo of the vehicles in front of the Slovak National Theatre worked just as well — a local context that the reader will identify with much more than generic photo bank shots. Native advertising was distributed through partner services to more than 100 of the largest Slovak portals.

📊 Native articles achieved 80,000 impressions, 2,300 clicks and a total CTR of 3.49%. Total campaign engagement reached 150,000 interactions. In addition to paid reach, the campaign also positively impacted organic web search, which grew significantly during its duration.

🏆 The campaign resulted in increased website traffic, organic search volume, and well-informed leads in stores. Over 100 vehicles were sold before the flagship store opened — measurable proof that the communication directly supported business results.
